DEPOT FUELLING EQUIPMENT
Our depot fuelling equipment is designed for transport fleet operations and combines long-term durability with precision fuel management. The weather-proof unit provides access for up to four fuel pumps. It has a stainless steel housing which can either be wall-mounted, or free-standing as a pedestal.
- The fuelling unit incorporates a user interface which facilitates:
- Vehicle authentication
- Fuel access
- Details captured during fuelling transaction
All data captured by the unit can be retrieved locally. The system can be customised to take odometer readings wirelessly, and the method of driver authentication can be specified.
Why spill free fuelling
Night time spillage of fuel during the fuel shunt can be horrific. This is hidden from view by the morning and difficult to account for. On average it has been calculated in some garages to be as much as 0.5 litres per fuelling, (when I questioned this amount it was confirmed by Phil Margrave Go-Ahead London).
Cost of fuel waste (£100,000 per annum Go-Ahead London).
Fuel expansion in parked up buses can also account for lost fuel and staining of paintwork.
Staff walking through diesel spilt in the fuelling and parking area which is then transferred to bus interior.
A working environment awash with fuel can be the cause of sickness and a high staff turnover.
Less staff are needed to carry out the same function. There’s no need to hold nozzle, and no topping up, (eg.nx and fulwell).
Interceptors require emptying less frequently.
Less contamination to reclaim units.
Control of theft. Manual nozzle is kept locked up during the fuel shunt.
In general the cleaner the fuel island the more respect the fuellers have for the equipment.
A faster and cleaner turnaround of the fuelling process means an easier life for the fuel staff.
The unique Downstream design enables the fuel tank venting to be carried to the ground and away from the fuellers location.
The fuelling system is designed with Duty of Care in mind. From venting vapour to the ground to lifting hoses off the ground. Removal of trip hazards, clutter and clear path ways around the working area are always considered high priority.
All the above ensures cleaning and upkeep of the fuelling area is maintained to a high standard.
