COOLANT SPILL FREE & CROSSOVER PREVENTION (STANDALONE)
Some modern engines are specified with unique coolant and oils. To avoid contamination by the wrong coolant being used for topping up purposed Downstream were requested to supply a unique dry break coupling. This standalone system ensures only the correct product is used at all times. Vehicle Header tank pressure is relieved back to bulk tank once the dry break coupling is connected to ensure no over pressure of the coolant system.
Once the correct level is reached the filling will stop automatically.
For sites with the OptiMIM fuelling system this is controlled according to the fleet number rather than nozzle type whereby only the correct products are released according to vehicle type.
